Metrixware announces Cobos 3.0 availability
Nanterre, July 2th 2013. Metrixware announces the availability of Cobos 3.0, its COBOL development workbench for Eclipse.
With Cobos 3.0, Metrixware increases developer’s efficiency and mainframe integration capabilities.
Local build and run of mainframe COBOL programs
With Cobos 3.0, COBOL programs can be built and run on a Windows workstation. This easy-to-use functionality helps you keep saving your costly mainframe resources as much as possible!
A simple, easily customizable ENDEVOR™ interface
Cobos already supports many Software Configuration Management tools. Version 3.0 adds native ENDEVOR™ support through Retrieve, Add / Update and Expand functions. This interface takes in account the environments constraints into the mainframe software factory.
Mainframe rich access without OpenSSH
A Telnet access mode is now provided in addition to the classical openSSH access. Retrieving members or files is made easier with filters into a large populated view.
Support of PANVALET™ ++INCLUDE behavior
Check syntax/Unfold and local compilation support the ++INCLUDE expansion even nested. Cobos enables you to retrieve your mainframe COBOL Copybooks on the workstation in just one click!
A must-have, user-centric, Eclipse COBOL IDE
With the obvious benefits that the Eclipse platform has brought to Java technologies, using a COBOL workshop on Eclipse becomes de facto unavoidable. With Cobos 3.0, the developers use agile and modern productivity tools, which are perfectly integrated with Mainframes without any impact on the existing infrastructure. Produced in closed collaboration with users, Cobos provides a neat and intuitive graphical interface, which enables a very fast user acceptance and appropriation.
A financially beneficial professional solution
“With the direct and transparent access to the Mainframes, we keep providing to our customers the most simple and powerful available on the market with the lowest TCO; a solution always easier to install and use, emphasizing adaptability, openness and development industrialization.” says Julie Dumortier, President and CEO of Metrixware.
